Ka: The Holy Book of Neter; a collection of texts that seeks to serve as an instructional book on African Spirituality and culture. It for example has prayers that can be said during important ceremonies like birth, marriage, and death, prayers of healing. It is a book worth having if you are interested to learn and practice the African way.Historically speaking and also from the African spiritual workshop by now, surely Africans would have pealed truth out of untruth for their better way forward. In what way have the two imported religions, Christianity and Islam, shown they are better to Africans than African Spirituality? Even as they are, which is better than the other for Africans good enough to replace African Spirituality?

Christian preaching stresses that Jesus is the saviour of the poor. Both religions talk about the wisdom of soul-investing in paradise where Jesus is the saviour of the poor and humanity. Christianity stresses that the poor will inherit the kingdom of God after death. This is the powerful panacea for excluding Africans from the benefits of this world. It is for the religions to be used in institutionalizing economic exploitation and brutality in Africa. Even after acquiring independence Africa is a heavy defendant on those slavery and colonial masters. Their religions gave Africans injections of subjugation hence, immunizing Africans against their cultural roots and African Spirituality.

FellowshipIslam law forbids any Muslim being made a slave. It is that religious thought that justified Arabs taking Africans as slaves because they were not Muslims. All European colonial empires that went after African slavery and thereafter colonization, operated under Christianity. That is, Christianity supported the European hegemony in slavery and colonialism. Hence, Christianity was used to institutionalize the economic poverty and brutality associated with African governments today.

How much would the African gain or lose by dropping Christian and Islam and embracing African Spirituality?
